It is an honor to be trusted with the teaching of your children, and we value that. At CK, our mission is to establish a Biblical foundation for students built on the knowledge of God’s word that will carry them through their life. Our hope is, that by participating in our Children’s ministry, they will learn of God’s love for them! We want to help them cultivate meaningful relationships based on Christ’s example that will inspire kindness and respect toward others.
We use an integrated approach to our classroom teaching. Through song, stories, Bible memory, prayer and group teaching, we strive to foster relationships of unity and consistency among siblings and classmates alike.

pre-school through 6th grade
Join us for Big Group class with singing, a Bible lesson, prayer, and age-specific break-out groups! It's a fun way for kids to learn together, enjoy each other & study the word of God in a meaningful way and turning their hearts towards God.
babies and toddlers
The tiniest (and maybe the sweetest) members also have a place with us too! During the class time, 9:30am - 10:30am they will be chatted with, snuggled and learn some of the very foundational kids songs like, Jesus Loves Me, The B-I-B-L-E and even get the chance to play with some rubber animals, baby Bibles and mirrors! This class is for approximately 6 months through age 2(ish).
Mamas and Babies
While we offer a family-friendly service, we all know that the little ones sometimes need a little extra TLC. We have a staffed nursery during service, if that is helpful for you. It is complete with toys, gliders and a changing station. There is also a quiet room for nursing Mamas.
cindy ormerod
Cindy is our Children's Program Coodinator! She helped build and launch this innovative approach to teaching here at CK. She and her husband, Lane, have lived in Washington for more than 2 decades. They came to CK with 3 younger kids who have now all grown up...and Cindy continues to cultivate the next generation. In addition to coodinating the kids program, she also serves on a teaching team with her hubby. If she's not using her talents at church, you can find her hanging with her pup, Brinkley.
